Man Posts Bizarre House Listing For Person With ‘Right Energy’
Getting a perfect housemate is a hard nut to crack in today’s time. It takes a great deal to find people with shared interests and characteristics. Ensuring the best on that count, many people take help of the online platforms managing that domain. Not just that, they also go ahead laying out their preferences to strike a perfect match on the list. But sometimes, people end up taking it too far. An anonymous man did the same with his condition list.
The Dublin (Ireland) resident was in search of his fourth housemate. His four-bedroom house was also supporting his three other housemates. He was having a good time with his other housemates. Thus, he was keen on maintaining the tone of synergy and environment in his house. He wanted to reach somebody who can fit in their space smoothly without disturbing their in-house scenario. Ensuring the best on that count, he turned to put up accommodation for rent advertisement on Irish housing website Daft.
Keeping his goal at the center of his words, he let his preference do the talk. Going that way, he ended up creating a list of conditions for his would-be housemate. Standing out on the platform, his conditions on the list were too demanding. As a result, they managed to catch the attention of a person going through the website. Grabbing the unique and stirring side of the advertisement, they ended up sharing it on Twitter. That started its fame movement in the social media world.

Leaving its readers startled, the advertisement read, “Unique opportunity to share 4 bedroom house with 3 others beside beach in Sandymount, Dublin 4 at low rent.” Then, it went ahead giving details of its existing occupants. Taking on that, it said, “Current occupants are 1. Owner (male 40s) who is retired and a passionate gardener, 2. Brazilian (female) IT professional (20s) working from home, and 3. American (female) IT master’s student (20s) studying from home.”
Finally, it came across the stirring conditions for the housemate. It read, “I expect this would particularly suit a writer, artist, a mindfulness practitioner or someone who studies at home. We seek someone who is interested in nature, gardening and participating in our little community – we do NOT seek someone involved in the modern-day rat race or who has a job outside the home.” Adding to that, it said, “The rent is below the market rate because the primary goal is not commercial but rather to find the right person who will bring good energy to the home. Replies should include a brief description of yourself and a mobile number.”
The post drew a worldwide response on the platform. Not just that, it also managed to rake in more than 2,000 likes. However, it left the social media users divided with their viewpoints. Some people ridiculed him for being too demanding. On the other hand, some users came out in his support.
Taking on that note, one person commented, “So just because it doesn’t suit you, you decide he’s a weirdo? Ever think he could just be a nice guy trying to help others while creating a nice environment for himself?”
