Man Builds A LEGO Train Track Across His Entire House
The pandemic situation had made it so hard for everyone to live inside for a long period of time. People were stuck in their homes and had to do anything and everything by just staying in. Many people got indulged in things that could help them in passing time. They all went creative and tried out new things. Almost everyone had then got used to staying at their homes as they got hold of some new hobbies. While some people were seen recreating theme park rides inside their homes, others spent time playing board games.
Well, there was a man from UK, named Chris, who was a maniac for LEGO train sets. The pandemic allowed him to spend quality time arranging for LEGO train tracks. He used to make tracks just for fun. He completed small projects of building tracks. One day he got so involved in it that he decided to do something huge out of a fun little project and he came with an idea of a much, much bigger project. As he got super obsessed with it he decided to cover his entire house by those train sets.
As compared to the mini train set that he used for making small tracks, he now required a lot of those. He ordered for whopping fifty-three boxes for spanning his entire house with train sets. He then had a collection of four hundred straight pieces, four hundred flexible pieces and two hundred curved pieces. As huge as it sounds, the train set was to cover the entire staircase as well as the backyard pool present in his house. Chris was specific with all the details and he wanted the tracks to be all realistic!
Along with the tracks he gave a glimpse of train’s scenery, built custom tunnels, and involved his two giant cats. As his project was a big one, there were a number of challenges that he had to face. The staircase proved to be quite challenging to set train tracks. Chris described the staircase as a Mount Everest for the trains due to a high slope that had to be managed with the tracks. Next big obstacle was his two giant cats named Ralph and Bella. He ran through some hurdles but eventually got everything fixed!
Chris arranged tiny different environments for the train to run through. This was the coolest aspect about his project. Firstly, there was a “rain forest,” set inside a small, custom geodesic dome. Secondly, there was a tunnel that crossed through a small backyard pool. This set up gave an underwater effect to the train’s journey. Above the pool was a replica of Golden Gate Bridge. These were built for the cats to cross! In all, his LEGO train set idea was a success and he deserved all the appreciation.
