Warner Bros. Released A Video Explaining The Cut Scene From The Batman.
The fans of the film Batman were intrigued to know why the director Matt Reeves erased the scene giving a glimpse at Barry Keoghan's joker in the film. The director revealed the reason for it by sharing a deleted scene. Furthermore, explaining why it could not make it to the final cut of the film.
The lead superhero in Robert Pattinson's movie The Batman had a scene with a brief look at Keoghan's joker character which was subsequently cut by the director of the film even though a little sneak-peek was given to the viewer in which he was in his cell at Arkham Asylum. It was implied that the prisoner in the running story was Batman's nemesis. Many fans were extremely positive about their intuition which was not by any stretch affirmed until the director of the film released an erased cut-out of the film.
The cut scene is supposed to have happened before The Batman found the Riddler. Riddler happens to be the main villain and he went to the joker to gather some information about the man messing with his brain by sending him letters. Notwithstanding, Reeves eventually chose to leave this entire scene on the cutting room floor.
Warner Bros released it in a director’s commentary to which he cleared that the two actors Barry and Rob in the scene worked well however the scene didn't contribute a lot with regards to the storyline. He said, "When we were putting the movie together, this scene, even though I think that Barry and Rob did such a cool scene together, it was one of these things where narratively it wasn't necessary. ”Furthermore, he added "You got everything that Barry was telling him, that Joker was telling him, over the course of the movie and given the great length of the movie, it helped the story to take the scene out, but I always really loved the work that Barry and Rob did in the scene,"
Reeves also gave the explanation for why this scene was composed in the first place and later deleted. Since he needed The Batman to 'get into the mindset' of the Riddler, who is a serial killer to solve the pulse, and to do this The Batman will proceed and interact with one more serial killer in the cell at Arkham Asylum who the writer called as the "unseen prisoner". The director said, "For me what I wanted to do in trying to launch a new Gotham was to have it be as if all of these characters that we know in Gotham already exist and here we have a version of this character who is not yet the Joker but is going to become the Joker, and I wanted Batman to have had an experience with him that put him in Arkham."
In this way, Director Matt Reeves made it clear now that the character of Barry as Joker exists in The Batman's world. Yet, it isn't uncovered whether he will be going to play as a lead villain in the storyline or not; which is the greater suspense for the fans.
